Who are we looking for?
Powerhouse Ventures is hiring an Operations Associate to be a core member of our team and help power the day-to-day and long-term engine of the firm. This role will lead our reporting, analytics, and pipeline operations, as well as support our portfolio and other cross-functional operational initiatives: all to keep us running and scaling smoothly. This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about the energy transition, loves building and improving processes, excels in project management, and can confidently juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball. You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and equally comfortable getting into the weeds as you are contributing to more strategic, firm-wide projects. You enjoy working on a small, collaborative, fast-moving team where your work has immediate and visible impact. While this is not an investing role, you will work closely with our investment team and collaborate regularly with stakeholders across our ecosystem, including founders, LPs, and partners.
What you will be working on:
Reporting, Analytics, and Insights
Lead our monthly deal flow reporting process
Lead our quarterly LP reporting and annual report initiatives
Support portfolio reviews and lookback analyses
Support our research and thematic initiatives
Investment Operations and Fundraising Support
Lead efficiency efforts through systems, automation, and workflow optimization, especially via AI tools for investment process
Support startup pipeline management, including top-of-funnel data and management
Support fundraising CRM management
Strategic Initiatives
Lead cross-functional strategic and operational initiatives
Provide project management and operational support for key priorities
Conferences & Events
Lead conference and event attendance strategy
Coordinate and support speaking engagements across the team, including content development
Support our Annual General Meeting
People Operations
Support Human Resources with hiring and operational logistics
Manage onboarding and offboarding for new employees and interns
About you:
Experience
Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant full-time experience
Demonstrated skills
Excels at operational execution and follow-through
Track record of process building and improvement
Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
Proven project management across stakeholders
Very strong organizational and prioritization skills
High EQ and excellent communicator
Proactive and very comfortable with ambiguity
Passion for venture capital and the energy transition

Compensation
The target salary range for this position is $80K-$90K, with the potential to be higher for a highly experienced candidate with an exceptional skill set. Competitive pay will be offered commensurate with qualifications, and competitive benefits will be provided including comprehensive medical plans, 401(k) plan, flexible time off, and an annual professional development budget.
