Who Are We Looking For?
Powerhouse is hiring an Executive Assistant to play a critical role supporting senior leadership and enabling the smooth operation of our growing organizations. This role is ideal for a passionate, highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual who excels at managing priorities, communicating clearly, and driving execution across multiple workstreams. The Executive Assistant will work closely with senior leadership at both Powerhouse Ventures and Powerhouse Innovation, while supporting executive operations, events, and processes across the Powerhouse ecosystem.
What you will be working on:
Executive Support
Provide high-level executive support for the Managing Partner, including inbox management, CRM support, scheduling, meeting coordination, and travel planning
Work closely with the Managing Partner to help manage priorities and improve efficiency
Events & Offsites
Support the execution of live events including live podcast recordings, annual investor meetings, and our annual 1,000+ person event in Oakland
Lead planning and logistics for:
Quarterly Offsites
Conference and on-site happy hours
Additional internal or external events as needed
Office & Team Operations
Provide general office management support
Own team-wide scheduling support, including recurring meetings and ad hoc coordination for at least 8 team members
Support team-wide speaking engagements by managing logistics and travel
Coordinate weekly virtual team lunches, including leading discussion topic planning
Processes & Administration
Support hiring, including candidate intake, screening coordination, and maintaining organized records
Other process and admin support as required
About You:
Experience
Either:
A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years of relevant full-time experience
8+ years of relevant full-time experience
Preferred experience with event planning and event logistics
Demonstrated Skills
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Excellent communication skills and high EQ
Ability to work autonomously and proactively
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment on a small team
Ability to manage multiple, high-priority projects and work streams
Passion for working in energy, mobility, and industrial innovation

Compensation
The target salary range for this position is $70K-$80K, with the potential to be higher for a highly experienced candidate with an exceptional skill set. Competitive pay will be offered commensurate with qualifications, and competitive benefits will be provided including comprehensive medical plans, 401(k) plan, flexible time off, and an annual professional development budget.
