Articulate a clear voice, tone, and personality for both entities, and ensure they are used consistently.
Ensure consistency of messaging across websites, newsletters, social media, events, press, and materials.
Refine success metrics and track progress against objectives.
2. Strategy and Marketing
Fundraising for Powerhouse Ventures
Develop and refine messaging and materials for fundraising efforts.
Execute LP-facing communications (quarterly updates, annual reports, special announcements).
Business Development for Powerhouse Innovation
Collaborate with Sales to develop and implement account-based marketing strategies
Create and maintain a sales and marketing calendar as well as all collateral.
Thought Leadership & Editorial
Create and manage a content roadmap aligned with both entities’ priorities and market dynamics.
Write and edit posts, articles, and long-form content.
Identify timely and evergreen themes to reinforce both entities' perspectives and authority.
3. Communications
Newsletter
Own the strategy, editorial direction, and production of the shared monthly newsletter.
Collect topics, write and edit content, manage production and distribution, and track engagement.
Podcast
Own end-to-end production of the shared podcast.
Identify and research relevant guests based on market trends.
Develop episode themes, outlines, and interview questions.
Coordinate scheduling, recording, editing, and publishing with external production partners and with EA support.
Manage branding, promotion, sponsorship sales, and distribution of each episode.
Plan and support live podcast events with EA support.
LinkedIn & Social
Develop and manage both entities presence on LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
Create an editorial calendar and publish content regularly.
Write original posts and ghostwrite content for partners and team members.
Curate and amplify relevant portfolio and ecosystem content.
4. Website Ownership
Own both entities' websites as a core brand and communication asset.
Ensure messaging is current, clear, and aligned with positioning.
Manage external developers or designers when needed.
5. Events & Ecosystem Engagement
Own end-to-end planning and execution of Powerhouse’s annual event, a 1,000+ person industry gathering, including ticket sales, sponsorship sales, outreach, marketing, communications, and logistics with EA support.
Support planning and execution of other events such as investor meetings, portfolio gatherings, and ecosystem events.
Identify relevant conferences, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities.
Propose and develop original events aligned with entities goals.
6. PR
Identify and pursue media, speaking, and award opportunities for leadership.
Develop and prepare materials and, when applicable, manage designers.
Draft talking points and prepare partners for interviews and appearances.
7. Marketing Operations & Infrastructure
Lead the organization and execution of publicly facing investment materials.
Lead quarterly planning and reporting meetings with team leadership.
Collaborate with the team on annual and quarterly marketing and communications priorities and materials.
Build and maintain organized systems for marketing assets and documentation.
Establish workflows for content, approvals, publishing, and reporting.
Refine playbooks and templates for recurring activities (newsletters, announcements, events, launches, resources for founders etc).
Track analytics; what content performs, what drives engagement, what resonates with LPs/founders, clients etc.
Balance reactive needs with proactive, long-term brand and reputation building.
