Charm uses plants to capture CO₂ from the atmosphere. We convert biomass into a stable, carbon-rich liquid and then pump it deep underground. This removes CO₂ permanently from the atmosphere, out of reach of wildfires, soil erosion and land use change.

Peter Reinhardt is the Co-Founder and CEO of Charm Industrial. Charm has developed a novel carbon removal process that converts biomass to bio-oil via pyrolysis, and injects it into wells deep underground where it’s stored for thousands of years, if not millennia.

Charm is also developing a process for fossil-free ironmaking. Prior to Charm, Peter was Co-Founder and CEO of Segment, a SaaS customer data platform which grew to 600 people before it was acquired by Twilio in 2020 for $3.2B. He previously studied aerospace engineering at MIT.
